Your Tasks
- Ensure compliance with key regulatory frameworks, including The German Water Resources Act, Asbestos regulations, and Hazardous material management.
- Conduct HSE audits and inspections to assess compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Perform risk assessments, including those for hazardous substances, water management, and asbestos-related activities.
- Provide technical expertise in hazardous materials handling, emergency response planning, and incident investigations.
- Maintain and update HAZMAT catalogs, Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), COSHH assessments, and operating instructions for hazardous substances.
- Support waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
- Monitor developments in German, EU, and international HSE regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external regulatory bodies on HSE matters.
- Deliver HSE training and workshops to improve awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to enhance safety performance.
Your Profile
- A Degree in engineering, environmental sciences, chemistry, occupational health, or a related field.
- Familiarity with German and EU regulations, including TRGS, and REACH/COSHH standards.
- Experience as an Asbestos Coordinator or in an equivalent asbestos management role is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, particularly ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001, is advantageous.
- Proven expertise in hazardous materials management and asbestos-related compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE management systems.
- Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 30%).
