Stellen-ID: 2902104 | Amazon Web Services Development Center Germany GmbH
AWS is set to introduce the inaugural European Sovereign Cloud (ESC), marking a significant development in Utility Computing (UC). To spearhead this initiative, we are actively seeking experienced support engineers with a strong background in cloud operations. As part of the AWS Managed Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in building and leading operations and development teams dedicated to delivering high-availability AWS services, including EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock, for EU customers. For more information on ESC please check out our blog: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/in-the-works-aws-european-sovereign-cloud/
You’ll typically spend your time resolving less time-sensitive issues for software systems under your care, while continuously seeking ways to improve services, procedures, documentation, and tools. When SOPs are undefined or ambiguous, you’ll use judgment on when to escalate and when to dive deep to learn. You’ll be the go-to person for keeping your team’s systems running efficiently.
You may be required to participate in occasional “on-call” rotations to resolve incidents occurring out-of-hours.
Utility Computing (UC) European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) is a part of AWS Utility Computing (UC). AWS UC provides product innovations—from foundational services such as Amazon S3 and EC2—to consistently released new innovations that differentiate AWS services and features. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC, Amazon Managed Operations engineers engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
