We are seeking a sharp, analytical, and curious Researcher to support our strategic initiatives by conducting high-quality desk research on user and consumer trends related to AI in the travel industry. This role is instrumental in informing data-driven decision-making around the company's investments and product direction in AI.
The ideal candidate has a background in consulting or investment banking, strong experience in market and industry research, and a passion for understanding how emerging technologies are shaping customer behaviour.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth desk research on AI applications and adoption trends in the travel industry (e.g., personalization, predictive analytics, virtual assistants, generative AI tools, etc.).
- Analyze consumer behavior and user sentiment around AI-powered travel experiences using publicly available reports, databases, and news sources.
- Track competitive intelligence and benchmark AI strategies across leading travel and tech companies.
- Synthesize findings into clear, structured reports and actionable insights for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product, strategy, and leadership teams to align research with business priorities.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of relevant macro trends, regulations, and innovations.
- Support the preparation of executive presentations and recommendations based on your research.
Qualifications
- 13+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, market research, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong understanding of emerging technologies, particularly AI, and their business applications.
- Demonstrated experience conducting secondary research and working with both quantitative and qualitative data.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to distill complex insights into simple narratives.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; experience with research platforms like CB Insights, PitchBook, Statista, etc., is a plus.
- Self-starter with strong time management, curiosity, and intellectual rigor.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus but not required.
