The KYC (Know Your Customer) squad, part of the Banking team, plays a critical role in supporting compliance operations and maintaining the integrity of our platform, while ensuring our customers and internal teams have a reliable and smooth experience. As we continue to grow our full‑stack team, we’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who’s ready to take ownership, shape architecture, and build systems that are both elegant and scalable.

📋 Your role as a Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Banking team, you will take a leading role in designing and building backend services that are robust, secure, and scalable. You'll have the autonomy to drive projects end‑to‑end, influence architectural decisions, and collaborate closely with stakeholders across the company. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in backend challenges, particularly around service architecture and data modeling, and who enjoys working in cross‑functional environments.

Your responsibilities will include :

• Participating in domain modeling and backend system design
• Leading technical planning and execution of key initiatives
• Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and non‑technical teams
• Writing, reviewing, and maintaining backend code in TypeScript
• Handling production issues, and improving reliability and observability
• Driving adoption of engineering best practices

• You bring solid experience in full‑stack or backend development, with a strong focus on backend systems
• You not only build reliable systems — you run them. You develop with observability and maintainability in mind.

You have hands‑on experience with :

• Typescript / Node.js
• NestJS
• SQL / PostgreSQL
• Distributed / Event‑Driven Architecture
• Designing and scaling backend services in production
• Testing strategies and CI / CD practices
• You’re technically confident and capable of making and defending architectural decisions
• You’re driven and focused on building user‑centric solutions that deliver meaningful value to both the end user and the business.
• You’re proactive – you don’t wait for direction but instead drive things forward
• You’re passionate about building clean, maintainable systems with clear domain boundaries, following Domain‑Driven Design (DDD) principles
• You’re empathetic – you understand the business needs and translate them into technical solutions

• GCP and Spanner

• Working in regulated or compliance‑driven environments

🚀 If you’re the right person, here’s what success looks like :

• 3 Months : You’ll be fully ramped up, have a deep understanding of our KYC domain, and be leading at least one backend initiative.
• 6 Months : You’ll have delivered a significant backend feature or refactor that shows clear, measurable impact — whether in performance, scalability, or reliability.
• 1 Year : You’ll be driving key technical decisions within the KYC team, mentoring fellow engineers, and contributing to architectural improvements across the platform - particularly within the broader Banking domain.
