About the Position

As a Senior R&D Engineer (f/m/d) MOSFET & IGBT you will be responsible for the design and technology development of the next generation of high-voltage silicon power devices up to production maturity. You will report directly to the Technology Development Manager in Lampertheim.

• Design and technology development of the next generation high voltage silicon power devices.

• Generate new ideas of device structures and manufacturing process, evaluate them by analysis of design of the experiments

• Work with wafer foundry partners to reach production maturity of the new designs and processes

• Work with the assembly team to ensure long-term reliability in different package formats, requiring chip- and package-level failure analyses and diagnostics

• Other duties that may arise in the course of employment

About You

• Successfully completed doctorate (PhD) in a technical field, preferably in a semiconductor-oriented course

• More than 3 years of experience in design of power semiconductors, preferably IGBTs and MOSFETs

• First-hand knowledge and experience of IGBT and MOSFET processes and device layout

• Experience in TCAD simulations, testing and characterization, semiconductor packaging would be a plus

• Fluent English and ability to work independently in a cross-cultural working environment

• Very good analytical and numerical skills
