A world-leading provider of imaging products and services based in Amstelveen has an exciting opportunity for a Senior General Ledger Accountant to join their international team. As a Team Lead, you will be part of the European Finance & Accounting department report directly to the Finance Manager.

Senior General Ledger Accountant Responsibilities
- Ensuring a proper and contemporary bookkeeping incl. monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually closing (balance sheet, income statement, general ledger)
- Participating in month end closing operational process
- Responsible for Inventory stock provision management
- Responsible for
- Responsible for VAT and Intrastat filing
- Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations
- Acting as the maain contact person for the Finance Center of Excellence (captive SSC)
- Supporting business managers with financial advice
- Bringing in improvements through technology, process improvements and simplification of procedures
- Maintaining accounting policies and procedures
- Handling monthly, quarterly and annual closing procedures
- Managing accounting records and analyse data
- Identification of deviations and clearance of (key) general Ledger (sub)accounts
- Performing J-SOX controls in your area
- Taking care of payroll accounting
- Handling European claims procedures
Ideal Candidate
- 5 years of experience within multiple facets of accounting & reporting
- Higher Educational level (HBO or higher degree) in financial education
- Experience in international setting is preferred, able to operate in a diverse and multicultural environment
- Knowledge and experience with IFRS are preferred
- Experience with SAP
- Knowledge of the Dutch tax regulations is preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English
