Sales Director – Communications | Northern Europe

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director – Communications (Northern Europe) to lead and develop regional sales activities in alignment with global strategy. This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for revenue growth, team performance, and strategic customer relationships across the region.

Reporting into global sales leadership, you will play a key role in shaping regional strategy, driving commercial excellence, and representing the business with key customers and industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a regional sales team, including recruitment, onboarding, objective setting, and performance reviews

  • Define and execute regional sales strategies aligned with global objectives
  • Own regional sales forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue delivery
  • Manage strategic customer accounts, including contract negotiations and long-term development plans
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine sales approaches
  • Ensure compliance with internal commercial governance, pricing, and approval frameworks
  • Represent the organisation at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows
  • Hold responsibility for the regional sales budget and pricing approvals within defined limits
Leadership & Governance
  • Act as deputy to senior global sales leadership in strategic discussions and decision-making forums
  • Delegate operational responsibilities where appropriate while maintaining accountability
  • Support succession planning and leadership development within the regional sales organisation
Candidate Profile

Experience & Expertise

  • Proven track record in B2B sales leadership, ideally within communications, technology, or engineered products
  • 8–10+ years’ sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Strong experience managing complex, long-term customer relationships and strategic accounts
  • Solid understanding of structured sales methodologies and buying-centre dynamics
  • Experience in communications technology or adjacent industries is highly desirable
