Operational Planning & Capacity Management Data Analyst - VIE Contract

Location: Germany, Frankfurt

Target start date: 01/12/2025

iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28. This program is primarily an international development program; candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship. Applications must be submitted in English.

About the job

As Operational Planning & Capacity Management Data Analyst (VIE) within our Operational Planning & Capacity Management for Clinical Sciences & Operations platform team and the Global Project & Planning Management (GPPM) organization, you’ll support R&D Clinical Sciences & Operations by ensuring integrated and aligned R&D operational Planning (P) and Resource Management (R).

You will support and enhance data science and analytics initiatives by developing solutions to automate data management, forecasting and simulations, and by creating statistical analyses and predictive models. You will develop user-friendly interfaces to manipulate and present results effectively to non-experts, sharing data pipelines and models with stakeholders.

We are looking for someone dynamic, fast-learning, and independent who can develop strong relationships with OPCM (Operational Planning & Capacity Manager), GPM (Global Project Manager) and operations within the CSO area.

Main responsibilities
  • Maintain and develop end-to-end web applications for what-if scenarios or data analyses.
  • Write scripts for data extraction, cleaning, management, and visualization.
  • Use statistical methods to analyze large datasets and extract valuable insights.
  • Contribute to predictive model development.
  • Lead and contribute to transversal initiatives.
  • Summarize, simplify, and present results during meetings with cross-functional teams in an international environment (collaborators located in the USA, Germany, China, and France).
  • Act as interface between clinical stakeholders and OPCM to translate business needs into technical solutions and to vulgarize complex solutions for non-experts.
About you

Experience:

  • Experience and strong knowledge of programming in Python.
  • Experience working in the Pharmaceutical industry.

Education:

  • Master’s degree related to Data Science such as statistics, computer science, or mathematics.

Soft and technical skills:

  • Autonomous and self-learner with excellent organizational skills, rigor, curiosity and creative problem-solving.
  • Analytical mindset, pragmatic, results-driven.
  • Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions and to explain complex topics to non-experts.
  • Good communication and networking skills, presentation skills (verbal & written) and ability to work in an international, multi-cultural environment.
  • Knowledge of programming in R and a good understanding of SQL and databases is a plus.
  • Knowledge in Python/Dash web app framework development or other frameworks.
  • Skills in statistical analysis, machine learning and statistical modeling.

Languages:

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written); knowledge of German language and culture is a plus.
