Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) Operating Unit is dedicated to the treatment of electrophysiological diseases of the heart. We offer our physician customers a comprehensive suite of products and are dedicated to leading the market with our Affera Mapping and Ablation System, innovative ablation catheters, cardiac mapping systems, and traditional electrophysiology (EP) products.

As a Market Development Representative for Cardiac Ablation Solutions in Germany, you will drive activities to expand the market and accelerate the adoption of our electrophysiological therapies such as Cryo ablation, PulseSelect, and the Affera system. This role is pivotal to expanding the market, accelerating product adoption, driving commercial execution, and ensuring best-in-class product launches and market insights. This role covers the whole of Germany and is remote—the home/remote location is the primary work location, with possible requirements to attend a Medtronic location for meetings from time to time. There is a facility-based immunization requirement for Measles to fill the open position.

Responsibilities
  • Identifying, developing, and implementing near-term and long-term business strategies related to the development of new products, technologies, services, follow-on products, and/or industries.
  • Identifying markets, licensing opportunities, and determining the feasibility of business and product development.
  • Performing economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities.
  • Developing business models and determining market trends to substantiate long-term prospects.
  • Coordinating with internal departments in identifying and implementing business development projects.
  • Close collaboration with sales, marketing and potential as well as existing customers to determine their needs.
  • Developing and disseminating information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of project goals and objectives.
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, marketing, or business and more than 5 years of experience in healthcare market development, business or marketing, ideally within medical devices or electrophysiology, with a demonstrated success in driving therapy adoption and market expansion.
  • Proven ability to assess market opportunities, identify adoption barriers, and develop go-to-market strategies with experience leading or supporting educational initiatives, referral mapping, or awareness programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams across geographies, including sales, clinical, regulatory, and marketing.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize clinical, competitive, and market data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills aimed at effective internal and external stakeholder engagement.
  • Advanced IT skills in MS Office, especially Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Profound knowledge of Business Intelligence & CRM software (Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce).
  • Detail-oriented and proactive with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Open to travel up to 50% within Germany.
  • Fluent in German and English, with excellent communication skills tailored to diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Knowledge in the field of electrophysiological products and customers and familiarity with referral pathways and reimbursement landscapes across key global markets is a strong asset.
