Our Global Wordings team offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and adaptable individual to join as a Legal Wording Counsel. You will be an integral part of the team and the wider Legal department, supporting underwriting across all product lines with complex risks. This role provides an opportunity to demonstrate technical drafting skills and advisory services to underwriters, clients, and brokers, offering a service differentiator for AXA XL.

What you'll be doing

Responsibilities include:

• Analyzing existing and new products, including competitor offerings, with a focus on delivering timely and commercial solutions.
• Creating and innovating, working with stakeholders to develop or refine insurance products and lead brand innovation.
• Collaborating across teams and departments to meet goals and deliver services.
• Monitoring legal developments and recommending wording adjustments.
• Sharing best practices and delivering training on technical wording advice.
• Supporting underwriters with coverage analysis and clear wording solutions.
• Ensuring contract certainty and adhering to governance standards.
• Working closely with stakeholders to provide efficient, high-quality service and maintaining clear communication.
• Representing the company in contract negotiations and industry associations.

What you'll bring

• Strong interpretation and drafting skills in English, with experience in (re)insurance wording.

Desired skills include market clause knowledge, experience with contract analytics tools, and relevant legal qualifications. Fluency in English is essential; German and other languages are a plus.
