Jobbeschreibung

As part of our R&D and Operations team, you will support the development, testing, and optimization of lithium and nonlithium-based battery- as well as organic or perovskite based solar chemistries. Your role is critical in ensuring the precision, reliability, and safety of our experimental processes.

YOUR TASKS

  • Conduct chemical and electrochemical tests to characterize and evaluate battery or solar materials to improve performance (e.g., routine battery / solar cell assembly, electrolyte or absorber preparation, chemical compatibility, electrochemical performance, etc.).
  • Conduct electrochemical tests (e.g., charge / discharge cycling, impedance spectroscopy, rate capability, conductivity) and analyze performance data.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate wet chemical and instrumental standard analyses according to the test plan (e.g., viscosity, density, particle size distribution, thixotropy, pot life).
  • Prepare samples for analysis according to established protocols, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Calibrate, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, including electrochemical test stations, ensuring proper function and compliance with safety standards.
  • Document procedures and communicate findings effectively.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and reports for internal use and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage inventories of laboratory equipment, chemicals, and consumables.

Your profile

  • Completed training as a lab technician or chemical laboratory assistant (e.g. CTA, PTA, Chemielaborant : in), or a similar qualification
  • 2+ years of practical lab experience in electrochemistry, ideally working on technologies like batteries, fuel cells, solar cells, or electrolyzers.
  • Familiar with common lab testing methods and analysis tools (e.g. measuring performance, reliability, or electrical behavior)
  • Confident using laboratory software and Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable working with chemicals and following safety procedures in the lab
  • Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus
