Kronenringe: Jewellery Residency for Emerging Artists is a new artist‑in‑residence programme for jewellery artists worldwide, hosted in the original workshop of the late goldsmith Barbara Helleis in Landsberg am Lech, Bavaria.
There are three residencies per year of four months each. The first residency begins in October 2025.
‘Kronenringe’ (crown rings) refers to a special design of rings by Barbara Helleis, which became a trademark of her work. The residency focuses on artistic research, design development and professional development in the field of contemporary jewellery art. The theme embraces the broad spectrum between art, craft and design, promoting the dynamic interface of tradition and innovation.
Artists are encouraged to pursue their own production, though this is not mandatory. They receive support in their creative development, design research, professional mentoring, and networking with the local and regional art scene. The residency provides access to a historic goldsmith’s studio, materials, and opportunities for exhibition.
The call is open to emerging jewellery artists worldwide. Working languages are English and German.
