How you'll contribute

As a Junior Electrical Engineer, you will support the design, documentation, and testing of electrical systems that power Greenlyte’s test infrastructure and DAC plant components. Working closely with cross-functional teams, your work will ensure our systems are safe, efficient, and ready for scale.

You will work closely with one of our Senior Engineers and have the following responsibilities based on the project priorities and workload…

  • Create detailed electrical schematics for Greenlyte’s test stands and sub-systems.

  • Develop I/O lists, load lists, and maintain accurate technical documentation.

  • Prepare Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) procedures and reports.

  • PLC and HMI programming according to IEC 61131-3 standards.

  • Get familiar with and support the commissioning activities.

Your first 12 months in the role: expectations and deliverables

Months 0–3

  • Get familiar with our test stand architecture and plant electrical systems.

  • Learn Greenlyte’s documentation practices and safety standards

  • Get familiar with the Electrical CAD tool

Months 3–6

  • Support the engineering team with ongoing schematic updates and documentation work.

  • Get familiar with the electrical installation and deployment of Greenlyte test stands

Months 6–12

  • Independently design and document sub-sections of plant electrical systems.

  • Get familiar and support the engineering team with ongoing PLC and HMI software updates

About you

Basic Qualifications

  • Completed studies in electrical engineering, automation, or a related field (B.Sc. or equivalent).

  • Strong interest in hands-on engineering and sustainable technologies.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • First experience (e.g., internships or university projects) in creating electrical schematics and documentation.

  • Familiarity with E-CAD tools (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar).

  • Familiarity with CODESYS, Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT, or similar is a plus.

  • Understanding of electrical safety principles and low-voltage system design.

  • Fluent in English (German is a plus).

  • Self-driven, organized, team player, and eager to grow in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.
