Our client is a respected international provider of scientific and regulatory services, supporting cosmetic and personal care brands worldwide. The company doesn’t sell products or equipment — it delivers high-value B2B services that help clients launch safe, effective, and fully compliant products in complex global markets.

  • Clinical and in vivo testing (SPF, anti-aging, skin tolerance, etc.)
  • Microbiological and stability testing
  • Toxicology and safety assessments
  • Regulatory dossier preparation and product compliance

To strengthen its presence in the DACH region — a fast-growing market — the company is hiring aBusiness Development Managerto lead commercial development in DACH area.

This is astrategic role, where you’ll work at the intersection of science, regulation, and market innovation.

YOUR MISSION

As Business Development Manager, you will develop new business and manage key accounts across thecosmetics and personal care value chain— from ingredient suppliers to brand owners and manufacturers.

Your goal: position the company as a key partner for testing, safety, and compliance, and expand its reach in the DACH region.

Core responsibilities:

  • Drive commercial growth in Germany and the wider DACH market
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with R&D, Regulatory, Product Development, and Innovation teams
  • Promote scientific services such as clinical studies, in vivo protocols, safety assessments, and regulatory consulting
  • Build tailored solutions with the support of internal experts (scientists, toxicologists, project managers)
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and congresses to raise visibility and generate leads

YOUR PROFILE

You may come from:

  • Atesting laboratory, CDMO, or regulatory service provider
  • Acosmetic ingredients, raw materials or formulation supplier
  • Aregulatory, formulation, or qualityrole with direct client-facing responsibilities

We are looking for someone who:

  • Understands therealities of scientific testing, regulatory compliance, and R&D workflows
  • Can speak confidently withtechnical decision-makers(e.g., regulatory managers, formulation experts, project leads)
  • Is ready to lead avalue-based, consultative sales approach— not product pushing

Requirements:

  • Fluent German (C1 or higher)and professional English
  • 3–5+ years of experience in business development, technical sales, or client advisory in a regulated B2B context
  • Understanding of at least one of the following: cosmetics formulation, efficacy testing, regulatory requirements, or clinical evaluation
  • Based in Germany (ideally North), and available for regular travel

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience working with clinical/in vivo studies (e.g., patch testing, SPF, anti-aging efficacy)
  • Familiarity with cosmetic regulations (EU 1223/2009, ISO 24442, FDA, EMA)
