Overview

TELUS Health is empowering every person to live their healthiest life. Guided by our vision, we are leveraging the power of our leading edge technology and focusing on the uniqueness of each individual to create the future of health. As a global-leading health and well-being provider – encompassing physical, mental and financial health – TELUS Health is improving health outcomes for consumers, patients, healthcare professionals, employers and employees.

The trainer serves as a crucial bridge between the technical solution and client adoption. The role involves creating and delivering comprehensive training materials and documentation, while working closely with customers to conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The trainer will collaborate with various teams including Business Analysts, Quality Assurance, and client stakeholders to ensure successful solution implementation.

Beyond training delivery, the position requires someone who can manage client relationships, document process improvements, and contribute to quality assurance efforts, all while maintaining a deep understanding of pension plan administration systems. The ideal candidate should be an experienced communicator who can adapt their training approach based on audience needs and effectively manage change within client organizations.

This role requires regular travel to the US and Canada for on-site training delivery.

What you’ll do
  • Organize and/or adapt demonstrations and participate in presentations to existing or prospective clients to ensure they understand the integrated solution;
  • Create and develop training in multiple formats and ensure all training materials are accurate and up-to-date
  • Lead individual and/or group training activities on our premises or at our clients’ sites
  • Build and maintain harmonious relationships with clients existing or prospective clients
  • Write user guides, procedures and reference documents
  • Identify, record, and document suggestions for improvements made during training activities
  • Help promote an atmosphere of collaboration and mutual assistance as a member of the team of trainers
  • Support the quality assurance team, the business analysts and the client support teams when the integrated solution is being installed
  • Guide the parties involved to ensure that training sessions meet the clients’ needs
  • Monitor training activities with regard to endeavour, cost and scope, so as to stay within the allotted budget
What you bring
  • 2+ years experience as a trainer for internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Available for travel in Canada and the US, approx. 4 separate weeks/year
  • Solid experience presenting content using Microsoft tools such as PowerPoint and Teams
  • Demonstrated ability to lead dynamic training sessions and adapt teaching methods to diverse audiences
  • Strong learning agility with enthusiasm for mastering new systems and pension administration concepts
  • Proven resilience under pressure with a positive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Change management experience, with ability to influence stakeholders and drive adoption
  • Track record of successful cross-functional collaboration with technical and business teams
  • Results-oriented with strong project delivery and time management skills
  • Pension, benefits, or insurance industry knowledge is an asset
  • Holding an E-2 visa allowing to work full time in the US is an asset
What’s in it for you
  • Impact hundreds of thousands of lives through pension administration work
  • Join a collaborative, and supportive team culture
  • Travel opportunities in North America
  • Work on stimulating, complex projects with large scale clients
  • Continuous learning and growth in an evolving industry
