Logistics Sales Executive – Produce Focus

Our client’s business is growing, and they are expanding their Sales Team. As the Logistics Sales Executive – Produce Focus, you will join a division that specializes in produce and refrigerated goods within Canada and the US markets. Your primary responsibility is to drive produce business growth by developing a pipeline of potential customers aligned with the company's ideal customer profile. You will focus on prospects in the US who ship produce on refrigerated equipment, both domestically and cross-border. Your role involves identifying, prospecting, and securing new customers using various tools and methods, supported by the entire organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting and cold calling to generate new business.
  • Building deep, meaningful, and long-term relationships with customers to solve problems and meet their needs.
  • Partnering with the Solutions Team to tailor solutions for customers and earning ongoing commissions on customer partnerships.
  • Exploring the vast opportunities within the industry.
  • Defining your career path and compensation based on your success.

Experience:

  • Proven success in sales, with the ability to discuss metrics in depth.
  • Experience with Salesforce is an asset, but not required; familiarity with sales software and data-driven approaches is preferred.
  • Self-motivated with initiative, comfortable with cold calling and seeking new challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, active listening, and the ability to connect with customers.
  • Highly collaborative, aiming for success for both customers and the company.
  • Curious and proactive in finding new customers and solving problems, with an understanding of how solutions can address customer pain points.
  • No specific industry experience required, but prior success in sales and cold calling is essential.
