Job Description

We seek an experienced Fractional CTO with a focus on AI to join our team of entrepreneurs and former CTOs. This role offers engagement with the startup ecosystem in the Toronto-Waterloo corridor and potential to become CTO in startups. It is a contractual position, with potential for full-time transition. Candidates across Canada are encouraged to apply, especially those with consulting or contractual experience.

Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in AI projects, including Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, etc.
• Experience leading or managing AI-focused technical teams.
• Proven experience with AI / ML model development, deployment, and management.
• Skills in AI project scoping, cost estimation, and product road mapping.

Required Skills

• Deep understanding of AI / ML algorithms and software architecture.
• Proficiency in AI development and deployment on cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Agile and Lean Startup methodologies in AI projects.

Great To Have

• Master’s or Ph.D. in AI, Machine Learning, or related fields.
• Experience as a technical co-founder of an AI startup.
• Consulting or freelance experience with AI startups.
