Job description
About the Role

We’re looking for a strategic and execution minded Product Management & Strategy lead to guide early-stage B2B AI ventures from formation through to spin out (see our process here). In this role, you’ll sit at the intersection of venture strategy, product development and founder support - shaping ideas, validating markets and ensuring MVPs ship and evolve.

You’ll play a hands-on role across multiple ventures simultaneously, partnering with founders, technical teams and studio leadership to push concepts forward and de-risk them into scalable startups.

You’ll Work On

Venture Formation

  • Guide venture teams from validated ideas to spin-out readiness
  • Act as a dual advocate – representing both venture interests and FutureSights’s strategic lens
  • Keep 3-5 parallel venture tracks on cadence through structured reviews, blockers and internal alignment

Product Development

  • Lead product discovery, roadmap planning, and MVP scoping for active ventures
  • Work closely with technical leads to prioritize features and execute lean product builds
  • Serve as interim product owner in early stages; hands off ownership as teams mature

Founder & Team Development

  • Thought partner to EIRs; coach on early go-to-market motions, user research, and product feedback loops
  • Support recruiting for key hires (e.g. founding engineers, Technical Co-founders)

Internal Tools & Studio IP

  • Oversee internal product initiatives for Idea generation, Recruiting automation, venture platform boilerplate
  • Align product tooling with venture formation needs

Studio Operations (as needed)

  • Manage platform tools (GCP, AWS, OpenAI, Github etc)
  • Triage ad-hoc requests from the studio team: events, communications, marketing touchpoints.
What We’re Looking For
  • Prior experience at a venture studio or as a Software startup founder
  • 5-8+ years of product management, venture building or early-stage startups
  • Proven ability to own product from zero-to-one across multiple domains
  • Hands-on with early product work — wireframes, JTBDs, quick specs, etc.
  • Strong user discovery skills — comfortable leading interviews and synthesizing insights
  • Able to work with ambiguity and move quickly without perfect information
  • Strong founder empathy and the ability to balance coaching with forward momentum
  • Familiar with lean startup, customer development, and MVP best practices
  • Excellent communication and project manager skills — internally and externally
Bonus Experience
  • Technical background or ability to collaborate closely with engineers
Why This Role?

You’ll shape 3–5 ventures from napkin sketch to spin-out, driving discovery → MVP → early traction with real autonomy. You’ll ship weekly, test with real customers, and turn hard-won lessons into reusable studio IP that compounds across the portfolio. As a founder-facing leader, you’ll coach EIRs, influence roadmaps, and help make early hires while partnering with studio leadership on investment theses, spin-out criteria, and GTM bets. The role offers portfolio-scale impact, a strategic seat at the table, and career optionality to step into a founding/operator role or grow within the studio—anchored in crisp thinking and clean execution, not process theater.

Contract & Compensation
  • 6-month contract with option to convert
  • Competitive compensation based on experience
