We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced C++ Software Engineer with expertise in developing mechanisms and pipelines to acquire metrics for real-time production autonomy software and evaluate its performance. You will be responsible for developing tools and workflows that generate autonomy performance metrics when operating our Oxa Driver stack, and building instrumentation to monitor and assess on-road decision making. You will champion the utilisation of these instruments through documentation, training, co-development, and support, ensuring their reliability and scalability. Additionally, you will define verification and validation strategies for the Oxa Driver Motion Planner.

As a member of the Evaluators, Metrics and Tooling platform team, you will work closely with core robotics engineers to measure Motion Planning performance. You will assess, help identify, and report on the Motion Planner's end-to-end deliverables for internal and external stakeholders. Your role will involve collaborating with capability owners to innovate and progress within the larger Manoeuvres Stream.

Your responsibilities include:

1. Developing and maintaining processes and APIs to generate performance signals and meaningful metrics.
2. Building and owning tools and the Planning evaluation framework.
3. Participating in all engineering lifecycle phases: scoping, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
4. Verifying and validating through on-road testing and scenario simulation.
5. Using synthetic data from simulations to expand testing scenarios.
6. Managing CI/CD pipelines to monitor performance regressions.
7. Collaborating with other teams to define processes and metrics.
8. Contributing to technical strategy, training, and hiring to align with the team's objectives.
9. Interfacing with other teams to enhance understanding of the autonomy stack and business aspects.
