Job summary
A community health organization is seeking a Public Health Nurse to support school-age children and promote community wellness. The role involves the delivery of immunizations, education on communicable diseases, and mental health support, utilizing a trauma-informed approach. Ideal candidates will be Registered Nurses with experience in community health, strong communication skills, and a commitment to culturally safe practices.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), or RN (Extended Class) with current registration.
- Experience in community health or public health nursing.
- Fluency in a NAN dialect is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Deliver culturally safe public health programming.
- Promote immunization services and education.
- Conduct trauma- and violence-informed health assessments.
