Description

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well‑being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family‑centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $39.58 - $54.16 per hour. Upon obtaining a full licence, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.

Required Qualifications

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. Additional Required Qualifications

CTAS within 6 months of hire. IV initiation and infusion therapy certification or equivalent proof of competency. Experience using Windows computers, Outlook, Connect Care. This position involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, pushing, patient transfer, pulling, typing, and fine motor tasks, with lifting requirements of up to 100 lbs occasionally, 21‑50 lbs frequently, and 0‑20 lbs constantly.

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC or EPIC. Rural Nurse Connect Care Trained. RSI Training or airway management experience, procedural sedation training. Education/experience with breastfeeding support. 1 year experience labor and delivery, emergency or rural acute care in the last 3 years. Charge Nurse experience/training, incident command post experience/training.
