Overview

We are seeking a project control specialist to join the Joint Venture Projects Support Division (JVPS) under the Fuels Strategy & Capital Planning Department (FS&CPD). This division is responsible for providing oversight and support to Aramco affiliates' projects within the Downstream Fuels portfolios. This includes providing an independent view to decision makers on project progress, identifying areas of improvement, and recommending corrective actions.

Your primary role is to lead and conduct the project health check assessment process and advise on mitigation plans to maintain project cost and schedule. You will also provide project control services to the project team as required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct project health check assessments for joint venture projects and present the outcomes to the project sponsor.
2. Review and monitor project performance and present results to the project team and project sponsor.
3. Prepare reports to analyze project progress in development or execution stages.
4. Perform project risk analyses.
5. Manage the database for project lessons learned.
6. Conduct benchmarking studies.
7. Support the project team by providing them with best practices in project oversight and control.
8. Provide consultation services in project management, including project economics, governance, organization setup, cost estimating, scheduling, procurements, and risk management.
9. Support the development of the business plan, project feasibility, and project technical development.
10. Analyze claims and advise on negotiation strategies.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized and approved program. A master’s degree in engineering is preferred.
2. Minimum 15 years of work experience in project management, including at least 10 years in project control (e.g., planning, scheduling, and cost control).
3. PMP and PMI-SP certificates from the Project Management Institute (or equivalent certificates).
4. Must be certified by AACEI (Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International) or equivalent certificates.
5. Must have work experience in mega projects for refineries, petrochemicals, or infrastructure industries.
6. Experience in developing project scope, project schedule, and cost estimates.
7. Capability to enhance the benchmarking database from a cost and industry perspective.
