Futurpreneur is a national non-profit organization that empowers young, diverse entrepreneurs, aged 18-39, to start, buy, or grow their businesses in Canada by providing loans, mentorship, and resources.

Here’s the opportunity:

The bilingual Entrepreneurship Coach, Women Entrepreneurs will primarily work with young francophone and women entrepreneurs and mentors, serving as a key resource during the idea and business plan development stages, as well as post-launch. This role involves delivering training, coaching, advisory services, and additional support throughout their entrepreneurial journey with Futurpreneur.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Community Engagement, you will collaborate with a national team of Entrepreneurship Coaches and other client-facing teams (Business Development, Client Services, Communities) to ensure an exceptional client experience that highlights the value of Futurpreneur’s offerings.

This is a permanent full-time position, based anywhere in Canada, with a preference for Montreal, QC, or Toronto, ON. The role operates under a hybrid model, requiring a minimum of 2 days in the office per week.

What you will do:

Counselling Entrepreneurs (75%)

• Provide expert coaching and guidance to entrepreneurs seeking financing, including business plan refinement, cash flow projections, marketing strategies, business structure, competitor analysis, and risk mitigation.
• Offer personalized support via phone, video, email, and in-person meetings.
• Build long-term relationships, acting as a trusted advisor through follow-up support meetings.
• Facilitate community activities like onboarding, office hours, networking, and group discussions to foster engagement and learning.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective service delivery, especially for francophone and women entrepreneurs and mentors.

Training Entrepreneurs & Mentors (15%)

• Deliver webinars, bootcamps, and workshops in both French and English on business planning, cash flow management, marketing, and other entrepreneurship topics, including core programs like Rock My Business, #OwnersWanted, and Growth Accelerator.
• Support the mentoring team in delivering training and guidance to mentors to strengthen relationships with entrepreneurs, especially francophone and women entrepreneurs.
• Proactively share resources such as blogs, videos, and programs to ensure entrepreneurs utilize available tools effectively.

Subject Matter Expert Responsibilities (10%)

• Provide expertise and recommendations for program and service improvements.
• Contribute to special projects and new program development supporting entrepreneurs and mentors at all stages.
• Participate in Futurpreneur-hosted events to promote its mission and visibility.
• Stay informed of trends and challenges within the entrepreneurial ecosystem to keep coaching practices and resources relevant.

What you bring:

• Relevant education in business administration, economic development, entrepreneurship, or equivalent experience.
• Experience advising entrepreneurs or startups.
• Strong understanding of business fundamentals, including financial analysis.
• Business coaching credentials from recognized organizations (e.g., ICF) are a strong asset.
• Bilingual in French & English (spoken and written).
• Passion for youth entrepreneurship and experience working with women entrepreneurs and community organizations.
• Proven ability to facilitate large training sessions, webinars, and presentations.
• Ability to synthesize complex information for entrepreneurs.
• Autonomous work ethic with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
• Customer service orientation with tailored guidance skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in youth entrepreneurship is a plus.
• Experience across multiple industries is an asset.
• Alignment with Futurpreneur’s values and mission.
