Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Recruiter to provide consultation, advice, and recruitment support to hiring managers. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in Role:

1. Responsible for full end-to-end recruitment support and consultations related to one designated business line.
2. Liaise with industry organizations, recruitment vendors, and candidates.
3. Independently generate candidate flow through various sourcing channels, including internal postings, internet recruiting, proactive networking, employee referrals, and researching other channels as appropriate.
4. Identify appropriate sources and work with them to attract qualified candidates.
5. Develop cost-effective, efficient, creative, and innovative sourcing solutions.
6. Educate, consult, and transfer knowledge of staffing processes, diversity, interviewing skills, and legislation to hiring managers.
7. Screen resumes and/or conduct telephone interviews to ensure candidates meet minimum recruitment criteria.
8. Conduct interviews, provide support, and counsel hiring managers throughout the interviewing process.
9. Gather and provide feedback/recommendations to candidates and hiring managers regarding strengths and development needs to determine and select the most qualified candidate.
10. Manage recruitment information through the Applicant Tracking System (People-Click).
11. Participate in special staffing projects as required.

Must-Have Skills:

1. 3-9 years of experience recruiting for positions up to Executive/Managing Director level.
2. Experience working with e-Recruitment tools and behavioral-based interviews.
3. Strong sourcing skills to locate candidates with rare skill sets.
4. Excellent relationship-building skills and proven ability to provide value-added, consultative service.
5. Strong client service orientation.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

1. Possess or be working towards a Certified Human Resources Management (CHRP) certificate – would be an asset.
2. Bilingualism (English and French), as you will regularly do business with bank partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French-speaking needs.

Soft Skills Required:

1. Strong sourcing skills to locate candidates with rare skill sets.
2. Excellent relationship-building skills and proven ability to provide value-added, consultative service.
3. Strong client service orientation.
