Position Summary

PR 101: Writing and Editing for Public Relations

Course Description: This course will introduce students to the conventions and formats of writing for public relations, as distinguished from other forms of business writing. Students will develop an awareness of audience, objectives and key messages when planning their writing before moving on to practice with several common public relations formats.

Position Requirements

We are looking for a sessional lecturer with the following:

  • Master’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, or Communications preferred.
  • Accreditation with CPRS and/or IABC an asset.
  • Online teaching experience and a familiarity with UR Courses an asset.

This course will be delivered in an asynchronous, online format.
