Right now we are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Prenatal/Obstetrical Clinic.Job Status: CasualReporting Relationship: Manager, Birthing Unit,Prenatal Clinic, Mother Baby UnitHiring Salary Range: $39.07 - $56.00Location: Humber River Health – Wilson SiteHours of work: Days, evenings, weekendsUnion: ONA

Position Responsibilities:

• RN responsibilities with a focus on assessment and antepartum care
• Patient and family education and support.
• Independently perform daily NSTs in consultation with the Obstetrician
• Make timely referrals to other health care providers
• Care of patients attending the Early Pregnancy Clinic
• Administration of Methotrexate if prescribed

Qualifications:

• Fetal Monitoring Course required with strong clinical interpretation skills.
• Minimum 5 years recent Birthing Unit experience required
• Ability to work well independently in a fast paced environment
• Strong decision making and critical thinking skills.
• Perinatal Nursing Certificate strongly recommended.
• Strong knowledge base of High Risk Pregnancies.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of internal and external resources and referral processes.
• Ability to work well with members of other inter/intra disciplinary teams.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Commitment to professional practice and development.
• Willingness to be cross-trained to one other area within the Women’s & Children’s Health Program.
• Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
