Job summary
A construction company in Kamloops is seeking experienced workers to read blueprints, construct and renovate wooden structures, and supervise staff. Candidates should possess a secondary school graduation certificate and have 3 to less than 5 years of relevant experience, with no option for remote work. This role offers an on-site position in a dynamic team environment.
Qualifications
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
- Knowledge of building codes.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood and other materials.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Supervise other workers.
- Estimate costs and materials.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures.
Education
Languages: English
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
3 years to less than 5 years. On site. Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
