A municipal transit service in Northwestern Ontario is hiring a Transit Operator to safely operate vehicles, providing courteous service to the public. Candidates must have a Grade 12 education, frontline customer service experience, and hold a valid Ontario 'G' drivers license. The position involves assisting passengers with accessibility needs and following scheduled routes while ensuring safety at all times.
Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, safely operate conventional and/or specialized/on-demand transit vehicles in accordance with established routes and schedules with a varying number of stops. Provides courteous service and responds to customer enquiries concerning transit information.

Operator wage increases progress as follows:
Training Rate: $22.65 (Note: Operator training is approximately 6 weeks in duration only)
1st 6 months: $25.89
2nd 6 months: $29.12
Thereafter: $32.36
