Job summary
A language services provider is seeking a Freelance Interpreter (English/Turkish) to facilitate communication in various community settings across Canada. The role involves interpreting spoken dialogues in healthcare, legal, and educational contexts, supporting individuals with limited language proficiency. Candidates must be fluent in English and Turkish, with a commitment to confidentiality and cultural sensitivity. This is a part-time, casual freelance position offering $20.00 to $25.00 per hour based on experience and assignment type.
Qualifications
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
- Strong command of both English and Turkish languages.
- Ability to travel to various locations as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and professional interpretation in community settings.
- Demonstrate cultural awareness in various environments.
- Translate written documents into clear and precise oral communications.
- Support vulnerable populations by facilitating access to services.
- Handle remote interpretation assignments when applicable.
