Job description
Responsibilities
- Conduct analyses using actuarial data (e.g., product pricing, reserves, financial projections).
- Communicate assumptions, observations, and conclusions to stakeholders and provide recommendations within set timelines.
- Process Improvement:
- Master actuarial workflows, recommend enhancements, and implement approved changes.
- Develop and improve tools used in actuarial processes.
- Integrate effective documentation and risk controls into key steps of the actuarial workflow.
- Build, test, and refine processes to support IFRS 17 financial reporting, disclosures, and valuation efficiency.
- Enhance reporting tools and improve communication of management information.
- Problem-Solving & Collaboration:
- Solve complex problems by sharing expertise on challenging actuarial concepts and providing training to colleagues.
- Actively contribute to team priorities and support teammates to improve individual and team efficiency.
- Gain leadership experience through peer reviews, coaching teammates, and contributing to team planning and prioritization.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience
- Knowledge of Tableau or similar business intelligence tools.
- Proficient knowledge of at least 1-2 languages (e.g., SQL, SAS, VBA, Python, R).
