Job Description
Develop accurate cost estimates for industrial projects, including structural, mechanical, and refrigeration components.
Review project plans, specs, and drawings to understand scope and technical requirements.
Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes, especially for refrigeration, insulation, and climate control systems.
Conduct site visits and collaborate with project teams to assess constructability and logistics.
Prepare and present bid packages and pricing breakdowns to internal stakeholders and clients.
Analyze risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving strategies specific to cold storage construction.
Stay current on market pricing, construction methods, and code requirements for temperature-controlled environments.
Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure alignment on scope and budget.

The Successful Applicant
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial construction estimation. Cold storage and temperature controlled facility experience is an asset.
- A minimum of 1 completed food processing/manufacturing projects is an asset
- Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and industry standards.
- Proficiency with estimation software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Preferred: Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, with PMP certification or similar being a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of OBC.
