WHAT’S THE JOB?
Join our Dexterra Petawawa Team, where our people are driven by a desire to innovate, do social good, and move construction forward.

As a Roofer, reporting to the Lead Hand, you will install various types of roofs on building modules.

Your work will include:

  • Installation of roofing materials- Membrane, Shingles and Steel.
  • Installation of insulation, flashing/capping.
  • Retro fit of venting and terminations
  • Read and understand blueprints
  • Estimate materials required for roofing projects and delegate tasks to the team based on priorities and deadlines
  • Proficient at commercial T&G, EPDM, Rubber and TPO flat roofs
  • Strength in all types of EPDM; Blasted, fully adhered & mechanically attached
  • Experienced with repairs, maintenance, and leak inspections
  • Proficient with tools such as: air nailer's, chop saws, table saws, circular saws,
  • Supervise, mentor and train junior team members as required
  • Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Roofing experience.
  • Working at Heights experience/Certificate
  • Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
  • Perform heavy manual labor, including bending, stooping, reaching, carrying and lifting heavy objects weighing up to 45 lbs.
  • Requires manual dexterity of both hands and feet to perform activities such as lifting overhead, twisting and bending while lifting, climbing ladders and stairs while wearing protective equipment, and working in confined spaces, including repetitive arm motion below, at, and above shoulder level.
  • Walks approximately 2-4 kilometers per day on a variety of surfaces including, concrete and gravel.

This position is safety sensitive.
