We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and experienced Purchasing Manager to lead and execute our procurement operations. In this role, you will serve as both a strategic leader and a hands‑on contributor — setting the direction for our purchasing function while remaining actively involved in day‑to‑day procurement activities. You will be responsible for acquiring high‑quality materials, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and building a high‑performing purchasing team. You will identify and develop reliable supplier relationships, negotiate favourable terms, and ensure all purchases meet our quality, cost, and delivery standards — all while mentoring and guiding junior team members. You will be the critical bridge between internal stakeholders, external partners, and the team you lead.

• Lead, coach, and develop a purchasing team, setting clear performance expectations and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Establish and refine procurement processes, policies, and best practices to drive efficiency and consistency across the team.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex vendor disputes, high‑value negotiations, and cross‑functional procurement challenges.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align procurement strategy with broader business objectives.
• Create, track, and manage Purchase Orders (POs) from inception to delivery, while overseeing the same across the team's portfolio.
• Manage and prioritize competing procurement demands, ensuring timely fulfillment without sacrificing cost or quality.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, payment terms, warranty terms, and long‑term supplier agreements.
• Serve as the senior point of contact for key manufacturer relationships, negotiating settlements, replacements, or credits on escalated matters.
• Develop and manage a diversified, resilient supplier base that supports business continuity.
• Oversee inventory management practices to prevent shortages or overstock, leveraging NetSuite and other ERP tools to maintain real‑time visibility.
• Analyze demand patterns and work cross‑functionally to improve inventory forecasting accuracy.
• Maintain and enforce meticulous record‑keeping standards for serial numbers, purchase dates, maintenance logs, and warranty documentation required to validate claims.
• Ensure team adherence to procurement policies and audit‑ready documentation practices.
• Evaluate total cost of ownership (TCO) and ROI across sourcing decisions, presenting data‑driven recommendations to leadership.
• Track and report on key procurement KPIs, identifying trends and opportunities for cost savings or process improvement.

• 5–8 years in purchasing or procurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Comfortable rolling up your sleeves and executing alongside your team while maintaining strategic oversight — you lead by example.
• Proficiency in ERP software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to learn, adopt, and champion AI‑driven solutions that enhance procurement efficiency across the team.
• An “eagle eye” for contracts, fine‑print warranty clauses, and supplier agreements.
• Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to remain professional yet firm — and to coach others to do the same.
• Strong ability to calculate ROI, evaluate TCO, and translate data into actionable procurement strategies.
• Experience in the HVAC and home electrification industry is strongly preferred but not required.
• CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
• Background in technical support or a basic mechanical understanding is an asset when evaluating defects or working with vendors on warranty claims.

Full‑time

$100,000 – $120,000 per annum (depending on market and experience)
