We are seeking a highly skilled Application Packager with advanced Shell Scripting expertise to join our IT infrastructure project team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, testing, and maintaining software packages for deployment across enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of software packaging tools, deployment platforms (e.g., MECM / SCCM, Intune, JAMF, or others), and extensive experience scripting in Unix / Linux shell environments.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Package, repackage, and customize applications for deployment across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
2. Develop and maintain complex Shell scripts to automate packaging, deployment, and configuration processes.
3. Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and security teams to ensure compatibility and compliance.
4. Analyze application installation procedures and convert them into silent, unattended, or scripted installations.
5. Perform quality assurance and testing on packages to ensure functionality and compliance with organizational standards.
6. Maintain package documentation, version control, and change logs.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve application packaging and deployment issues.
8. Implement custom installation behaviours using scripting (Bash, KornShell, etc.) as needed.

Required Qualifications :

• Proven experience (3+ years) in application packaging in a medium-to-large enterprise.
• Familiarity with Windows Installer technologies (MSI, MST, App-V), if cross-platform packaging is required.
• Experience with deployment tools (e.g., SCCM, JAMF, Intune, Ansible, or Puppet).
• Strong understanding of software deployment workflows, silent installs, scripting best practices, and rollback mechanisms.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with macOS packaging tools (e.g., .pkg, .dmg, Munki).
• Knowledge of PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft Certified, LPIC, or similar).
