Purpose of Role: The Application Engineering Team engages the Canadian mining industry by providing world class solutions directly to miners and mineral processors. Key Responsibilities
  • Solution Proposals: Prepare comprehensive and commercially competitive proposals for various product lines within the Weir portfolio while adhering to brand standards and business strategy.
  • Customer Focus: Maintain prompt communication, respecting both internal and external customer expectations while adhering to set deadlines. Build strong relationships while partnering to develop solutions and adapt to changing market demands.
  • Technical Proficiency: Review and interpret technical specifications to best select equipment to meet customer requirements. Provide technical support to both customers and the front line sales team.
  • Organization & Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and organized records of projects for use in future stages or recall for customer requests. Ensure accuracy of project costing and timely update of live documents/records in the sales pipeline.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
  • A Bachelor of Engineering Degree in mechanical, process, or metallurgy disciplines.
  • Prior experience or education in mining and mineral processing is considered an asset.
  • Prior experience in roles involving customer support, sales, or manufacturing environments is also considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, SAP, and Salesforce.

Compensation Range: $80,000 to $93,000 CAD (Depending on experience)
