Job Description:
Creative Services Specialist

The Colleague Confidence & Experience team leads the engagement of our Canadian Personal Bank Operations colleagues. We enable learning and development opportunities, deliver Reward and Recognition activities, and create engaging offsites for leaders. A key area of focus is planning and delivering employee engagement events and activities such Employee Appreciation Week, annual celebrations, and other employee special events.

Position Description

This role shapes and delivers impactful internal communications through a wide range of visual content support such as developing high-quality and engaging presentations, videos, and graphic materials to effectively communicate with employees and enhance the culture. Using specialized skills, this individual will identify creative solutions then plan and deliver those solutions.

This full-time position will require four days a week in office. Some limited travel may be needed to support execution of employee events.

Job Accountabilities
  • Collaborate with team members to identify creative requirements for employee events and communications and document business needs.
  • Create digital and print graphics such as infographics, posters, banners, and presentations to support business campaigns and communications.
  • Translate creative and AV requirements into guidance for AV vendors for key events and lead the direction of vendors during event execution to ensure a seamless experience for attendees.
  • Consider business priorities and recommend creative enhancements to continually refresh our SharePoint Community Site to increase employee engagement.
  • Ensure employee-facing materials adhere to company branding and visual identity guidelines. Make informed decisions about the use of logos, colors, typography, and imagery to maintain a consistent look and feel.
  • Create videos from concept to final delivery. Actively participate in brainstorming, storyboarding, and production.
  • Translate complex messages and strategies into engaging visual formats that are easily understood by diverse employee audiences.
  • Take a leadership role in educating leaders how to leverage readily available tools (e.g., running large meetings on Webex and Teams while leveraging polling or brainstorming tools, embedding Kahoot, Survey Monkey or SLIDO).
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following breadth and experience:

  • Experience with internal corporate communications.
  • Ability to leverage corporate branding standards and digital assets to create innovative tools while adhering to those standards.
  • 3-5 years of experience in graphic design or related creative services.
  • Ability to work as part of a very collaborative team.
  • Strong balance of creative, technical, project management skills as well as adaptability to support execution of employee events.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to translate complex information into clear and compelling visuals. Enhanced story telling ability.
  • An ongoing commitment to learn modern technologies and techniques.
Technical Requirements:

Strong working knowledge in the following applications:

  • Adobe Creative Suite on Mac OS; InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Professional
  • Video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Adobe After Effect CC, Apple Final Cut Pro X)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Knowledge of these applications is an asset: HTML, CSS, and Javascript
