Job description
Introduction

IBM Consulting is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Partner to lead strategic supply chain transformation initiatives within the Utilities and Oil & Gas sectors, with additional experience in industries such as Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) considered a strong asset. This leader will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering end-to-end transformation journeys for clients, leveraging IBM’s differentiated capabilities in AI, automation, digital workflows, and sustainability.

Your role and responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to CxO-level clients (CSCO, COO, CIO, CTO), driving strategic conversations around supply chain transformation.
  • Lead engagements from origination to execution, including solution design, business case development, and delivery oversight.
  • Apply deep industry expertise to diagnose client pain points and architect tailored solutions across Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, and Return.
  • Drive sustainable and resilient practices, embedding ESG goals and circular economy principles into transformation strategies.
  • Collaborate across IBM’s ecosystem, including IBM technology, research, and strategic partners, to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, go-to-market strategies, and offering development for Utilities and Oil & Gas.
  • Mentor and develop consulting talent within the practice.
Required technical and professional expertise
  • Proven track record (10+ years) in supply chain transformation consulting, with significant experience in Utilities and/or Oil & Gas.
  • Strong understanding of industry-specific challenges, including asset optimization, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with AI-driven decision-making, automation, and digital supply chain platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale transformation programs and managing senior client relationships.
  • Familiarity with CPG or other asset-intensive industries is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Experience with Supply Chain technologies and a understanding of how AI can drive value for clients.
  • Knowledge of ESG frameworks and sustainable supply chain practices.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
