Job summary
A local child care provider in Caledon, Ontario is seeking a Home Child Care Provider. This permanent, full-time position offers $20 per hour. Responsibilities include caring for children, preparing meals, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Applicants must have a secondary school graduation certificate and prior experience in child care is preferred. Authorization to work in Canada is required.
Qualifications
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in child care.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents.
- Discipline children according to methods requested by parents.
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
- Keep records of daily activities and health information.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
- Organize activities such as games and outings for children.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
- Supervise and care for children.
- Take children to and from school and to appointments.
- Tend to emotional well-being of children.
- Help children with homework.
