Job summary
A Vancouver-based biotech company is seeking a Financial Analyst to support financial analysis and accounting reporting. This hybrid role requires a detail-oriented professional who can combine accurate financial reporting with analytical insights to aid management decisions. Key responsibilities include preparing reports, conducting variance analysis, and supporting budgeting processes. Candidates should have a diploma or bachelor's degree in a related field, strong Excel and PowerBI skills, and 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting and/or financial analysis experience.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (ASPE).
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management reports (actual vs. budget vs. prior year).
- Conduct variance analysis and provide clear explanations.
- Analyze revenue, gross margin, and operating expenses.
