These individuals offer guidance and support to help clients optimise their workforce, enhance employee engagement, and drive organisational effectiveness. Those in workforce strategy at PwC will specialise in providing strategic consulting services to help organisations optimise their workforce and talent management strategies. You will work closely with clients to analyse workforce trends, develop workforce planning strategies, and design talent acquisition, development, and retention programmes to align with business objectives and drive organisational success.

As a Workforce Transformation Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers helping organizations navigate complex people, culture and change challenges from strategy through to execution.

Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of client engagements, ensuring quality delivery and strong client relationships
  • Working with PwC and client teams on end‑to‑end engagements - from strategy through implementation
  • Leading client engagement teams and collaborating with client stakeholders to drive outcomes
  • Managing engagement economics, project governance and delivery excellence
  • Actively contributing to business development, including identifying opportunities with new/existing clients and supporting proposal development
  • Continuing to develop your own and the team's technical acumen locally, nationally and globally
  • Keeping up to date with industry and workforce transformation trends, contributing to thought leadership
  • Developing strong internal relationships and elevating your PwC brand
  • Coaching others, recognizing strengths, and encouraging team members to take ownership of their personal development
  • Facilitating and leading innovative and inspiring workshops with client teams
  • Leading or contributing to practice development initiatives - including innovation, capability building and enhancing how our practice uses AI and emerging technologies to deliver impact
  • Collaborating with talented PwC professionals on high‑profile engagements across People Strategy, HR Operating Model & Organizational Design, HR Process Design, and HR Technology Strategy
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve important problems
  • Demonstrated experience managing and delivering projects in several Workforce Transformation areas, such as:
    • Defining talent management needs and developing strategies to future‑proof client workforces
    • Strategic workforce planning (ideally with modelling future needs)
    • Culture assessment and development of culture evolution strategies
    • Operating model and organizational structure development and implementation
    • Change impact assessments and development of change strategies to drive readiness and adoption
    • Stakeholder engagement and communication across multiple channels
    • Facilitation, design thinking, and co‑creation with internal teams and clients
    • Development of training materials, learning experiences and teaching aids that support capability building
  • Prior experience in a Consulting environment is required
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams to deliver sustained outcomes, while developing and coaching future leaders
  • Technical understanding of the HR function, including exposure to:
    • Business HR
    • HR Operations
    • Talent Management
    • Talent Acquisition
    • Total Rewards
    • Exposure to cloud‑based HR technology implementations (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM), either from an Organizational Design or Change Management perspective
  • Familiarity with generative AI and emerging AI‑enabled HR/people solutions, and interest in applying these capabilities to client challenges
  • Self‑motivated with a passion for client work and team collaboration
  • Ability to multi‑task and manage ambiguity in fast‑paced environments
  • Willingness to learn, adopt and lead new ways of working (personas, journey mapping, gamification, AI‑enhanced approaches, etc.)
  • Collaborative, curious, high‑energy and a lifelong learner
  • A strong communicator and storyteller capable of simplifying complex concepts
  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing diverse teams and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard

The salary range for this position is $112,400 - $162,400. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm‑wide achievements. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
