Novarc Technologies is looking for a Welding Technician to join our growing team and support the production of our cobots.

As a Welding Technician you will help us further our welding robot design and support our clients. You will be designing and building parts, fitting pipes when necessary, welding using the SWR for internal R&D purposes, helping with the assembly and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), installing SWRs at customer sites, and working hand in hand with our Customer Support team to support our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist and lead installation and field support of the SWR, ensuring optimal operation and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and training to customer on utilizing the SWR
  • Test SWRs on the production line to ensure they meet quality and functional requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement in the welding operations team.
  • Analyze R&D Welds in partnership with the R&D/Innovation department.
  • Assist in-house welding projects and product development
  • Develop new weld procedures
  • Manage and order shop consumables as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the management team and Director of Welding Operations
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • A Level \"B\" Welding Certificate is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in pipe welding and fitting, encompassing both shop floor operations and field work.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible shifts and travel up to 50% of the time across Canada, the USA, and internationally for customer support, client software release (SWR) training, and field installations.
  • Possesses experience in delivering customer service and technical support both remotely and in person.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Possess a valid passport and a clean driving record with a valid Class-5 license.
  • Dynamic and motivated individual dedicated to ongoing learning and development, and maintains a professional presence suitable for engaging with customers.
Schedule
  • Core: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, starting at 7:30 AM
  • As we have a global client base, weekend travel to support installations or provide customer support services may be required.
  • Travel requirements up to 50% of the year.
