Overview

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time highly organized and safety-focused Warehouse Lead to manage shipping / receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations for our client in Burnaby, BC. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong forklift experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to support project teams with efficient material handling.

  • Pay Rate: $30.00 / hour
  • Location: Burnaby, BC
  • Shift: 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time
Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and move materials using a sit-down counterbalance forklift.
  • Process and verify shipping / receiving paperwork and documentation.
  • Coordinate shipments with carriers such as Canada Post, FedEx, UPS, and Purolator.
  • Stage, pack, and prepare material shipments according to customer requirements.
  • Prepare weekly mobilizations for field crews, including loading and securing trailers with construction materials.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts (weekly, monthly, quarterly) and maintain system accuracy.
  • Order parts and monitor stock levels to ensure availability.
  • Organize warehouse racking using FIFO principles.
  • Group and store project-specific materials for efficiency and traceability.
  • Perform periodic checks to ensure system vs. physical inventory alignment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Optimize storage space and improve efficiency of warehouse operations.
  • Support general housekeeping and basic maintenance activities.
  • Prepare warehouse and inventory level reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to support project requirements.
  • Provide guidance and direction to warehouse staff, promoting teamwork and adherence to safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed forklift operator (sit-down counterbalance required).
  • Valid Forklift Operator License (mandatory).
  • Previous warehouse operations experience required; leadership experience an asset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with fluent English.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Experience or knowledge of the telecom industry is considered an asset.
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada.
