Overview

Veterinary Purchasing Co. Ltd. (VP) located in St. Marys, Ontario, is the largest veterinary owned distributor in Canada. Our primary purpose is to ensure that Veterinarians have the supplies they need to provide healthcare to all types of animals. Be a part of the Supply Chain Industry and join our team. We are currently looking for likeminded individuals to join our Operations team in a Full-Time Warehouse Associate role.

Position: WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE (Full-Time)

Responsibilities
  • Under the general direction of the Order Process Manager, Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Coordinators, perform various warehouse duties associated with the proper picking, verifying, packing, and shipping of orders.
  • Pick and verify product orders to ensure accuracy.
  • Pack orders to ensure product is not damaged during transport and that all shipping labels are applied, as required.
  • Maintain warehouse to ensure the proper amount of product is available and that shelves are neat and free of excess packaging material and debris.
  • Complete daily warehouse preparation jobs, as assigned.
  • Understand and follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Health & Safety
  • Works in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Conducts self with regard for the safety of employees; is aware of safety and evacuation procedures.
  • Report any health & safety violations or hazards to a Supervisor, Coordinator, or Manager.
Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Follow and understand all relevant Standard Operating Procedures with respect to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Skills and Knowledge Required
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong written & verbal communication.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Schedule

Operational days are Sunday-Friday with varying shifts based on business needs. Operational hours run from 6am until 9pm. Shift openings are posted internally as needed.

Shift upon hire:

  • Sunday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Monday: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Thursday: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Sunday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Monday: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM

Based on the availability of these shifts, employees will be reassigned accordingly. Please note that there is no guarantee of receiving a specific shift, so we encourage you to remain open to either option if you are interested.
