Overview

The Company: At Anthratech Western Inc. (AWI) provides water treatment solutions for industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment plants in Canada, the United States and select international markets. AWI is privately owned, with our head office and research and development facility located in Calgary, Alberta.

Position

Warehouse Associate

Responsibilities

AWI's Warehouse Associate is responsible for shipping, receiving and storage of materials and equipment, as well as general support to various departments.

  • Operating forklift while following proper safety procedures
  • Processing inbound and outbound shipments, including assigning batch numbers, picking orders, calling carriers and completing shipping paperwork
  • Monitoring shipping/receiving schedule and communicating internal status updates
  • Repackaging filter media into smaller bags (lifting up to 55 lbs.), when required
  • Daily upkeep/housekeeping of warehouse and yard, including organizing and optimizing material and equipment storage
  • Tracking and coordinating equipment maintenance requirements, including forklifts and shop trucks
  • Completing basic building maintenance (e.g. changing light bulbs)
  • Providing support to other departments, including assistance during research and development, testing of AWI equipment, packing trade show displays, etc.
  • Supporting coworkers through collaboration, cross training and information sharing
Hours of Work
  • Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a warehouse environment, including forklift operation
  • Experience in logistics/supply chain management an asset
  • A valid Alberta driver's license (Class 5) with clean driver's abstract

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and respond to changing priorities
  • Customer service focus with the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Physical strength (ability to lift 55 lbs.) and stamina
