About this role

We are recruiting for a Warehouse Assistant to join our Prefab Warehouse team in Burnaby. This schedule is Monday- Friday, day shift.

The Warehouse Assistant provides support to the day-to-day function of the warehouse, working collaboratively with the team to ensure our onsite customer needs are met. Here's how your role will strengthen our team.

Your responsibilities
  • Perform complete receiving procedures for all inbound shipments
  • Pick and pack outbound orders
  • Load and unload skids and equipment
  • Re-palletize materials and place them in warehouse racking
  • Assist with warehouse inventory counts
  • Perform general cleanup and remove garbage from the warehouse and yard
  • Occasionally drive to move materials, stock, and equipment from the warehouse to sites; handle vehicle transfers and deliveries.
  • Carry out recycling duties
Your experience and skills
  • 1+ years of related experience in a warehouse or construction environment
  • Forklift operating experience is an asset; Houle will provide training and certification as needed
  • Valid BC Driver's License (minimum Class 7)
  • Basic computer skills for logging information and communicating with the team
  • Strong team player with a willingness to help
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and work with inventory management systems such as SiteSense and JDE

Salary range
