1Password is seeking a hands‑on, strategic, and analytical executive to join our leadership team as Vice President of Data Analytics. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will be responsible for advancing enterprise‑wide data maturity and enabling data‑driven decision‑making across all functions at the company. This position requires a unique talent who has deep technical understanding and also leads across cross‑functional teams.

The Vice President of Data Analytics will set the vision and strategy for analytics at 1Password, ensuring data is trusted, accessible, and actionable. This leader will partner closely with senior stakeholders to translate business priorities into an analytics roadmap that drives operational excellence, product insights, and exceptional customer and employee experiences.

What To Expect
Analytics Strategy and Data Maturity

Define and execute a modern analytics strategy and multi‑year roadmap aligned to company objectives

Elevate data maturity across the organization, enabling real‑time and forward‑looking insights

Ensure analytics investments directly support strategic decision making, product innovation, and sustainable growth

Business Partnership and Influence

Personally build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with senior leaders across Finance, HR, Marketing, Product, and Operations

Use these partnerships to inform analytics priorities, sequencing, and resource allocation

Act as a strategic advisor, proactively surfacing insights, trends, opportunities, and risks to influence executive decisions

Performance Measurement and Insights

Establish and govern clear, consistent KPIs tied to business outcomes

Design and oversee executive‑ready dashboards and reporting that drive accountability and action

Ensure insights are communicated with strong business context and clear recommendations

Data Governance, Quality, and Enablement

Own the definition, validation, and governance of core business metrics

Partner with Data Platforms and Engineering to improve data quality, accessibility, and self‑service capabilities

Ensure analytics practices meet high standards for data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance

Cross Functional Translation

Serve as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams

Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and technical requirements

Communicate complex analytical concepts in a clear, concise, and actionable manner for diverse audiences

Team Leadership and Culture

Develop and lead a high‑performing analytics organization grounded in excellence, accountability, and collaboration

Lead as an empathetic, hands‑on player coach who actively mentors team members

Invest in developing both deep analytics expertise and executive‑level communication, strategic thinking, and business acumen

Build sustainable performance systems through continuous feedback, growth plans, coaching, and intentional team building

Operational Excellence

Continuously assess analytics processes, tools, and operating models to improve efficiency and scalability

Implement best practices that enable the team to deliver high‑impact insights consistently as the company grows

What We're Looking For
Experience and Education

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred

10 or more years of experience in analytics or data‑driven roles, including at least 5 years leading teams at scale

Experience operating in high‑growth SaaS environments; cybersecurity or privacy‑focused domains strongly preferred

Technical and Analytical Expertise

Strong proficiency in SQL and modern analytics tools including Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, and Looker

Familiarity with big data and cloud‑based technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, AWS, or GCP

Ability to understand, write, and interpret complex queries and analytical models

Leadership and Business Acumen

Proven ability to build, develop, and retain high‑performing analytics teams

Exceptional communication skills with a track record of influencing senior leaders through data‑driven insights

Strong business acumen with the ability to connect analytics outputs to strategic and financial outcomes

Demonstrated success leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives in dynamic environments

Compensation

USA‑based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $272,000 USD and $368,000 USD plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Canada‑based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $247,000 CAD and $334,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
