Job description

CSC Generation Enterprise (CSC) is an AI-enabled multi-brand platform that acquires and transforms legacy businesses into profitable, digital-first, consumer-centric businesses. CSC's platform is purpose-built around its core M&A strategy and drives alpha by encoding revenue growth, unit margin management, and other expert-level retail practices into automation and AI. CSC owns and operates more than 10 companies, including Sur La Table, Backcountry, and One Kings Lane. Together, our companies generate over $1 billion in revenue, and we employ more than 2,000 people across North America. We are backed by world-class investors and continue to pursue platform and add-on acquisitions at a rapid pace.

What you get to do every day:

  • Drive performance management tied to key metrics, KPIs, and business drivers that provide a forward-looking view into trends requiring management decisions and actions.
  • Improve the quality, timeliness, and reliability of financial analysis and key performance metrics available to executive management and the Board, including forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation across all functional areas.
  • Oversee the enterprise-level budget process, and the consolidation of brand-level budgets into a comprehensive financial plan.
  • Automate processes and systems to achieve efficiency gains and quality improvements sequentially.
  • Support capital raising efforts by preparing for due diligence, gathering and synthesizing data from various groups, and presenting data clearly to support the company narrative.
  • Develop long-term strategic plans to position the company for a successful IPO, targeted in approximately four years.
  • Attract, retain, and promote individuals capable of thriving in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.

What you bring to the role:

  • Hands-on approach with a deep understanding of business KPIs and issues.
  • 10+ years of executive-level finance experience leading organizations through acquisitions, divestitures, financings, or IPOs, especially in ecommerce, retail, or fintech sectors.
  • Comfort with legacy systems, often acquired from older companies.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

What’s in it for you? Joining CSC Generation isn’t just about having a seat at the table — it’s about helping to redesign it. You’ll be challenged, stretched, and supported as you grow faster than you thought possible. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer:

  • Accelerated Career Path: High performers are quickly entrusted with greater responsibilities, new challenges, and leadership opportunities across our portfolio of brands.
  • Competitive Benefits: Paid time off, 401(k)/RRSP match, medical/dental/vision insurance, supplemental policies, and employee discounts at our portfolio companies.

What our interview process looks like:

  • Step 1: If aligned with our vision and qualifications, we’ll schedule a conversation to introduce CSC.
  • Step 2: Complete a short AI or product-building challenge to demonstrate your approach to problem-solving and execution.
  • Step 3: Participate in deep-dive interviews with CSC leadership focusing on your experience, product mindset, and operational thinking.
  • Step 4: Offer. We move quickly for the right candidate.
