Overview

Veterinarian, East Hants Animal Hospital role at VCA Canada

East Hants Animal Hospital welcomes a Veterinarian to join our team. Full-time or part-time flexibility in our schedules; mentorship; support from three other hospitals. Location: Elmsdale, NS. Experienced or new graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities
  • Provide medical care for companion animals, including soft tissue surgical procedures and preventive care.
  • Offer nutritional and wellness guidance to clients.
  • Promote and practice team-based medicine.
  • Coach and mentor students along their DVM journey as part of professional development.
  • Engage with conferences and networking to stay connected with colleagues and advances in the field.
Qualifications
  • A valid veterinarian license allowing practice in Canada.
  • Experience in soft tissue surgical procedures, preventative care, and nutritional counseling is preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for working with colleagues, pet parents, and the community.
  • Passion for coaching and mentoring students; interest in professional networking and conferences.
