Qualifications

  • Understanding of Information Security risk management principles and processes is a must.
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001/2, ISO 27005) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

Cybersecurity Architecture, Risk and Governance team.

  • Join a diverse team of experienced Cybersecurity practitioners, who provide subject matter expertise for Information Security with the Lines of Business (LOB)
  • Assist with security risk management and information security governance as it relates to Information Technology (IT) and Operations Technology (OT) systems
  • Assist in translating technical cyber & information security requirements into business actions. Preserve and apply the security governance framework (based on NIST) for the LOBs.
  • Work with different, potentially conflicting requirements (legal, regulatory, industry standards, security strategy) to distil realistic security requirements supporting the business strategy
  • Conduct research to maintain and expand knowledge on the latest cyber security technologies and standards, as well as the threat and vulnerability landscape for Industrial Control Systems (ICS) in general, and the Electrical sector in Ontario
Job Duties
  • Assisting and Translating technical risks into business risks, and aligning information security objectives with business objectives
  • Procuring, coordinating, presenting, and providing follow up on security penetration testing and Threat Risk Assessments (TRAs)
  • Providing interpretation for the security policies, security code of practice, and standards
  • Assist in Cybersecurity program management activities including tracking progress of various security initiatives, developing metrics, reporting, and conducting awareness campaigns
  • Assist with developing and updating security governance aligned with the leading industry practices Assist with conducting risk assessments, recommending and managing risk remediation efforts
  • Assist in defining requirements and supporting execution of security implementation projects
Professional development
  • Apply academic knowledge and skills in securing enterprise and operational systems
  • Become familiar with executing Cybersecurity program activities
  • Interact with different Lines of Business within Hydro One to conduct Cybersecurity risk assessments
  • Develop skills in securing the Supply Chain through vendor risk assessments
  • Gain experience in definition, design, and implementation of security technology projects
Skills and Qualifications

The following knowledge is essential to perform in this position:
