Job Description

Accountabilities:

  1. Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental standards to aid in patient’s diagnosis and/or treatment.
  2. Facilitate the provision of optimal patient care, observing and understanding Hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  3. Adhere to organization mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  4. Provide radiologists with high quality imaging, accurate and complete preliminary technical impression, discussing ultrasound findings with the radiologist when necessary.
  5. Perform other duties related to the job classification as required.
Qualifications
  1. Graduate of an accredited program in ultrasound technology.
  2. ARDMS (CRGS) certification in abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology with preference given to those who are also RVT (CRVS) or eligibility for registration with ARDMS (CRGS) within six months of the date of hire.
  3. Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario required.
  4. Sonography Canada membership preferred.
  5. Experience in general abdominal, obstetrics/gynecology, paediatric, breast, vascular and musculoskeletal preferred.
  6. FMF NT certification an asset.
  7. Proven skill in the production of high-quality ultrasound images.
  8. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  9. Physical ability to perform the expected job duties.
  10. Demonstrated ability to organize work, set objectives and establish priorities.
  11. Demonstrated ability to foster an environment to facilitate effective teaching and learning relationships and provide effective consultation with the clinical educators.
  12. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  13. Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration.
  14. Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record.
  15. May be required to travel between and work at all Osler sites.
Additional Information

Hours: Currently Days/Evenings/Nights shifts including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements).

SALARY:
Minimum: $36.84 per hour
Maximum: $51.76 per hour
